Community Care Provider These positions are responsible for providing active treatment (primarily for Activities of Daily Living), implementing individual treatment/behavior programs, general household work, daily activities, as well as assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities with normal day to day activities. In addition, these individuals may have mental health or behavioral disorders. These positions assist individuals with acquiring skills for personal independence. Some clients may have physical disabilities which require specialized equipment and/or manual lift techniques to assist with repositioning and lifting of individuals. In addition to working as a Caregiver, the Caregiver serves as a counselor, guide, coach, and mentor in a long-term, ongoing relationship with the individuals we serve. Caregivers will provide client support through activities in efforts to improve the client's quality of life. Responsibilities/Duties:
House Keeping (making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes) and preparing meals. Assist clients with such things as nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities. Contribute to a positive living environment while enhancing the client's quality of life. Report needs/changes to leads or management. Demonstrate high accountability and leadership skills, maintaining professionalism and encouraging a positive work relationship. Demonstrate an accurate understanding of company policies/procedures and uphold them consistently while showing enthusiasm for and interested in assigned roles. Listen to co-workers and clients concerns and respond in a timely manner and/or relay concerns to Program Leads or Managers. Demonstrate sound judgement and handle difficult situations in a tactful manner and have an ability to adapt to changing situations. Ability to work independently without supervision in a safe manner. Willingness to drive to all client locations in the specified service areas. (A valid driver's license is preferred but not reuired). The person must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. Spend time bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, standing, making repetitive motions, walking, using your hands to control or feel objects. The person will use hands/fingers to handle, feel and operate normal household equipment like a vacuum, laundry machine, microwave, oven and other standard household items. The person may need to ascend/descend by stairs and may be required to stoop, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl and go on extended walks. The person frequently communicates with clients and must be able to exchange accurate information consistently throughout a shift. The position is required to see and detect items throughout the house. In addition, they will need to identify, recognize, judge and observe throughout their shift. The person may be required to perform personal cares and assistance during personal care may be required based on the needs of the client. The person must have the ability to withstand exposure to various living environments, including minor exposure to dust, mold, mildew and normal household cleaning solutions. The person must be able to be outside for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions. This job operates in an adult family home. There are up to 2 residents in the home. This role routinely uses standard household items and basic office equipment. Responsible for Others' Health and Safety Use of cellular phones and or similar technological items is required, however limited in the presence of clients. •Currently Hiring for Full-Time 3p-11p positions.•Do have Part-Time available.
