Job Description
Hello, I am located in Wausau and am seeking to hire a Community Living Support Coach to join my team. This role involves providing personal care, housekeeping, and community engagement activities. This is a long term role. I enjoy music, fishing, outdoor activities, and learning new things. I also value a friendly, engaging approach and like to foster positive connections through light-hearted interaction. I would love to know what you enjoy. Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Transport me to and from my day service program as needed (several days per week)
- Administer prescribed medications
- Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and support during mealtimes and snacks
- Support learning of new skills and activities
- Facilitate community engagement based on personal interests and abilities
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote well-being and build trust
- Monitor for changes in condition
Qualifications:
- Experience working with adults with disabilities, including non-verbal individuals and those with behavioral challenges, is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and energetic demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Dependability and reliability are essential in this role
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Background check required prior to employment
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday-Thursday, 2:00 pm
- 9:45 am
- Friday at 2:00pm through Monday at 9:45am
- Additional daytime hours may be available-information available upon interview (2:00pm-7:00pm)
- Flexible scheduling options—choose shifts that fit your lifestyle
- Both day and overnight shifts available
Compensation:
- $16.50 per hour for day shifts plus mileage reimbursement of $0.35 per mile
- Overnight shifts include a stipend of $50.
