$24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary The Fairbanks Rescue Mission is seeking a detail-oriented and organized SSVF Case Manager to provide direct case management services to Veterans and Veteran families participating in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program. The Case Manager works as part of the Fairbanks Rescue Mission team to assist Veterans who are experiencing homelessness or are at imminent risk of becoming homeless by helping them access housing, benefits, and supportive services that promote long-term stability. Key Responsibilities Provide individual case management services to program participants at regularly scheduled intervals. Develop and implement individualized service and housing stabilization plans. Document all client contact, services provided, and progress in a timely and accurate manner. Assist clients with accessing housing resources and maintaining stable housing. Provide or coordinate supportive services including: VA benefits assistance Housing referrals and landlord engagement Employment and job readiness services Budgeting and financial literacy support Referrals for medical, mental health, and social services Assistance applying for income assistance, food programs, and childcare services Conduct outreach to community partners, property owners, service agencies, and unsheltered Veterans. Participate in client intake, assessment, discharge planning, and aftercare services. Maintain accurate case files and required program documentation. Provide regular updates and reports to the SSVF Program Manager. Work collaboratively with staff and community partners to support program goals. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum two (2) years of case management or related experience preferred. Experience working with homeless or at-risk Veterans and families strongly preferred. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy. Valid Alaska Driver's License required. Ability to sit, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed. Work Environment Office-based position at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission . Standard weekday business hours with occasional flexibility to meet program needs. Regular interaction with Veterans, families, and community partners.
