If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong analysis, and organizational skills, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the health insurance lien and subrogation process for personal injury cases from intake through settlement. Identify health insurance coverage, including private health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare-related plans, TRICARE/DoD, VA and secondary coverage. Contact health insurance companies and subrogation vendors to open claims and confirm lien handling procedures. Prepare and send health insurance letters of representation, HIPAA Authorizations, health insurance card copies, and supporting documentation. Request interim liens, final liens, itemized payout ledgers, and paid lists. Prepare professional correspondence by fax, email, portal, and certified mail as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and extremely organized. Ability to handle confidential medical and legal information in compliance with HIPAA and firm confidentiality standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PDF tools, phone, email, fax and case management software. Ability to maintain organized digital files and detailed case notes. Ability to manage deadlines and follow-up cycles without constant supervision. Experience in personal injury, medical liens, health insurance subrogation, legal case management, medical billing, insurance claims or healthcare administration is highly preferred.

From $20.00 per hour
