This role is responsible for resident programming, staff supervision, documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Resident Services & Program Oversight
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all residents in assigned facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) in accordance with regulatory requirements using the Therap system.
  • Coordinate resident programming with professional consultants and follow up on recommendations.
  • Ensure Direct Care Staff implement resident programs and schedules as written.
  • Ensure active treatment and habilitation services are delivered consistently.
  • Monitor resident programs and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
  • Review program data and evaluate resident progress toward IPP goals.
  • Prepare required reports, including 30-day, monthly, semi-annual, and annual summaries.
  • Facilitate and lead IPP meetings for assigned residents.
  • Participate in resident admissions, screenings, and discharges to support appropriate placement and census management.
  • Coordinate services with external agencies, including Regional Centers, day programs, and other providers.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to ensure resident healthcare needs are met.
  • Ensure adaptive equipment and special supports are obtained and maintained as needed.
  • Provide direct resident services when necessary, including counseling, crisis intervention, skill assessments, and client support. Personnel Management & Supervision
  • Provide direct supervision to Direct Care Staff, Team Leaders, Residential Coordinators, and other assigned personnel.
  • Ensure adequate staffing coverage in compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor training and onboarding of new Direct Care Staff to ensure readiness prior to independent service delivery.
  • Investigate employee incidents, injuries, and reports; ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Enforce organizational policies and procedures and administer coaching, corrective action, or discipline as appropriate.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and provide or coordinate staff training.
  • Review, monitor, and edit hourly employee timecards to ensure accurate payroll reporting.
  • Participate in interviews, performance reviews, and termination meetings as appropriate and provide hiring or termination recommendations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of ICF-DD/H and
ICF-DD/N
regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze program data and resident outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (Therap preferred).
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • QIDP qualification as defined by applicable state and federal regulations.
