This promotional / open opportunity is open to all interested candidates. This list will be active for three (3) months with the possibility to be extended.

BASIC FUNCTION
The Mental Health Case Worker will determine eligibility of clients for services, assess needs and provide case management services as an unlicensed qualified mental health professional to students diagnosed with mental health problems.

Working Location:
Mental Health Resource Center 2351 Cardinal Lane, Annex B, San Diego, CA 92123.
Work Schedule:
11 months per year / 40 hours per week. This position is paid on the OTBS Salary Schedule. Grade 044. Positions greater than 20 hours per week qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents. Vacancies that require the incumbent to be Bilingual in English/Spanish will be noted. Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential. This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the
San Diego Unified School District:
Article 2, Section 9).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to master's degree in psychology, social work, or mental health counseling and one year experience with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
Licenses and other requirements:
Must be registered with the California State licensing board toward obtaining a mental health clinician license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist prior to employment. Possession of a valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).Some positions may require bilingual Spanish skills.
