This individual will focus initially on the following target areas: The caseworker will work with refugee families to sign up for services, sign up for school, find employment, find permanent housing, and sign up for health care assessments. Primary responsibilities will include managing the process from arrival to self-sufficiency and will be responsible for developing long-term plans for each client. Provide case management services to clients Identify the needs of each family; recommend the best course of action or assistance for each applicant. Conduct crisis and risk assessments in consultation with the supervisor and team Allocate financial assistance to applicants Leverage client background and experience through active case management. Assist clients individually to gain, maintain, and advance in employment. Assess clients for job readiness. Provide referrals to training, social services, job research programs, and other resources Oversee the day-to-day case management of clients' cases as assigned. Encourage and motivate clients to work on their job search Manage incoming calls and emails Track client progress and program data Complete progress notes after each face-to-face, phone, SMS, or email contact with the client Input accurate and complete data into client management software/tools Document all assistance using Uplift's online database/filing cabinet promptly Maintain accurate client/program data to manage caseload and generate reports as needed Analyze and report monthly data as required to maintain accurate client and program-based statistics Job Skills & Qualifications BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience Ability to motivate others & a problem solver Team player who is willing to assist colleagues Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines, coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and enjoys a fast-paced work environment Excellent time management skills Strong understanding and/or experience working with homeless, low-income, refugees, and recovering populations Possess a high level of emotional intelligence, understanding, and empathy for individuals exhibiting signs of stress Ability to exercise mature judgment Understanding of and sensitivity to various cultures and religious issues Computer/Mobile devices literacy required: must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and Google products and willing to learn other applications as needed Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, administration, and organizational skills. Car, valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of auto insurance required Ability to travel to meet with applicants and to meetings/conferences. Some evenings and/or weekends as needed. Bilingual in Dari/Pashto Salaray Range- $23-$24/hr
