In-person only Reports to: Asst Director of Immigration Support Services Position Summary The Immigration Case Manager provides comprehensive, client-centered support to newly arriving immigrants and refugee households. This position is responsible for coordinating services that promote stability, self-sufficiency, and successful community integration. The Case Manager will work closely with individuals and families to secure housing, access public benefits, enroll children in school, and navigate health, legal, and social service systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct initial intake assessments and orientation to identify client needs, including housing, employment, healthcare, education, and legal services Develop individualized service plans and monitor progress toward client goals Assist clients in securing safe and stable housing, including coordination with landlords and local housing resources Support enrollment in public benefits and ensure timely application completion Facilitate school enrollment for children, including coordination with local school districts and support services Connect clients to employment readiness resources, and vocational training opportunities Coordinate access to medical and mental health services Provide case management documentation, maintain accurate and timely records, and track outcomes in accordance with program requirements Provide culturally responsive support and ensure services are delivered with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and experiences Participate in team meetings, training, and program development efforts Maintain knowledge of immigration-related resources and community partnerships This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 2 years of case management or direct service experience with immigrant or refugee populations Must be detailed oriented and able to manage complex situations Strong knowledge of social service systems, including housing, benefits, and education systems Excellent organizational and documentation skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Bilingual language skills strongly preferred Requires occasional evening or weekend hours to meet client needs
