New Britain, CT Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Contract $18 - $21 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification First aid Driver's License Working with children Bachelor's degree First Aid Certification Child welfare Full Job Description Beyond The Limits Outreach is seeking experienced and dependable professionals to provide Supervised Visitation services for children and families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). This role supports at-risk youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, reunification, and/or legal systems. Staff will facilitate and monitor visits between children or youth and their biological parents, relatives, or significant others in a safe, supportive, and structured environment. Visits may occur primarily in community settings, and occasionally within DCF offices when required. Responsibilities Facilitate and supervise family visitation sessions Ensure child safety and maintain appropriate boundaries during visits Observe and document interactions, behaviors, and family dynamics objectively Support positive engagement and healthy communication between families and youth Transport youth when applicable and approved Communicate professionally with DCF staff, providers, caregivers, and families Submit timely documentation and visitation reports Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required Minimum of 7 years of experience working with age-appropriate youth and families Experience with foster care, behavioral health, family systems, or trauma-informed care strongly preferred Requirements Ability to pass criminal background checks Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills CPR/First Aid certification preferred Ability to remain neutral, professional, and calm in high-stress situations Schedule & Compensation Flexible hours including evenings and weekends Contracted/per diem opportunities available Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
