ConnectiKIN (CKIN) is a kinship navigator program to support families who are having another family member placed with them, due to removal from their home by the Department of Children and Families. The CKIN Navigator is responsible for providing consultation and support services to the caregiver to help ensure the successful placement of kin. Additionally, Navigators provide case management support by assisting the families with school meetings, provider/treatment team meetings and researching/securing community supports for the child and family. Navigators carry up to 12 families and provide services throughout Western and Central CT.
Position Requirements:
- Degree requirements are either an Associates, Bachelors, Masters or a License. Salary will depend on education level.
- Valid CT State Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record
- Must be willing to work evenings and partake in on-call services
- Lived kinship/fictive care experience is required. Lived experience can include residing in a home in which a relative cared for you or providing care for kin or fictive kin yourself.
- Spanish-speaking preferred
Schedule:
40 Hrs per week Monday- Friday flexible schedule with on-call responsibilities.
