Job Description

About Us Our firm is a fast-paced personal injury law firm seeking hardworking, motivated, professional and articulate individuals for an open position as a Personal Injury Case Manager. This is an exciting career opportunity with a well-respected and established personal injury "Plaintiff's" law firm. The duties include corresponding and communicating with clients, insurance companies and medical facilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, drafting letters and conducting over-the-phone client consultations. The Case Manager is responsible for doing the client's initial intake, sending out clients contracts, insurance letter of representations, obtaining policy documents, assisting the clients with their property damage claims and gathering items such as police reports and photographs, etc. Requesting and gathering medical and billing records, managing clients' health records and other department responsibilities. They are responsible for gathering all records and bills related to the client(s) accident, confirming the accuracy of the charges and balances, providing health insurance and auto insurance (PIP) to providers in a timely manner. This individual is also responsible for communicating with client(s) regarding their treatment, providing frequent case status and working up the case accurately.
Qualifications:
Candidates MUST speak English and Spanish and have at least 1 year prior experience with customer service. Potential candidates must be able to organize and prioritize a large number of cases within a fast paced work environment, pay close attention to detail and communicate clear and effectively. Candidate must be able to work a computer along with the basic Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
Essential Functions:
Completing client's initial intake Sending out the contracts to the client's Sending out the insurance letter of representations for each insurance carrier Obtaining insurance coverages Assisting with Property Damage Claim Answering phone calls. Requesting medical records & bills from various providers, including but not limited to, medical providers, city/county providers, using Chartswap and Ciox. Requesting PIP ledgers Putting together a medical excel chart Obtaining outstanding liens Ensure that the medical records are organized, accurate, and complete. Store the records electronically and accurately. Safeguard patient records and ensure that everyone complies with HIPAA standards. Perform other related duties as assigned. Label documents correctly

Independent and capable self-starter who can effectively manage a case load. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and instruction from Attorneys Strong multi-tasking ability Ability to understand legal documents General knowledge of the Personal Injury process Must have excellent verbal, written and phone skills Must have strong computer skills.
