Senior Case Manager (Weekends) Part Time Step into a senior, high-impact role where your expertise supports women and children experiencing family violence. Refuge Victoria is seeking a Senior Case Manager (Weekend) to provide advanced case management and practice leadership across three refuge sites. About Refuge Victoria Refuge Victoria is a leading not-for-profit specialist family violence organisation providing refuge and crisis accommodation to women and children escaping family violence. With a proud history of over 40 years, we are Victoria's largest provider of crisis accommodation, operating three core and cluster refuges, 15 refuge properties, and holding nomination rights to 35 transitional houses. We are committed to a strengths-based approach that centres the voices of women and children. About the Role This is a unique opportunity to work as the senior practitioner across all refuge sites on weekends, providing critical support outside standard business hours.
You will:
Deliver specialist case management to women and children experiencing family violence, Lead intake, risk assessment, safety planning and crisis response across all sites on weekends, Provide secondary consultation and practice guidance to staff, Manage complex and high-risk situations with autonomy, Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across three locations. As the sole Case Manager on weekends, this role requires confidence, sound judgement and the ability to work independently while staying connected to a broader team. This role is required to travel to all three sites in both western and eastern Melbourne on a rotating site roster. Roster•(Some flexibility available; weekend work is essential)

9am•12pm You will bring (key selection criteria): You are a confident and experienced practitioner who can operate with a high level of autonomy while supporting others. To be successful in this role, you will have: A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience Extensive experience in family violence case management (minimum 5-8 years). Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-risk cases independently. Strong knowledge of the MARAM framework and family violence practice. Experience providing practice guidance, leadership, and support to less experienced staff. Excellent communication, assessment and decision-making skills. The ability to remain calm, thoughtful and responsive in crisis situations. Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage a caseload effectively.
