Job Description

PURPOSEOFCLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to provide Case Management to the County's Treatment Court programs. •
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work issimilar,related , or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties maybe required and assigned . Under the supervision of the Treatment Court Administrator, provides Case Management to County's Treatment Court Programs; establishes goals and objectives; develops policies, procedure and program performance measurements; implements, monitors and evaluates program services; and implements changes to improve program effectiveness. Screens jail reports; interviews candidates at the jail; identifies candidates for the Treatment court program; and initiates program services. Will work directly with at-risk participants to assist with life skills such as time management, budgeting, navigating the job application process, and connecting participants to community resources. As such, this position is responsible for maintaining and updating participant data in the case management system. An acute attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations are essential, maintaining confidentiality of all participant and office information as required. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to maintain an effective working relationship with associates, participants, and the public. Must be self-motivated and be able to execute the job duties in an efficient manner. The case manager will also be trained to conduct groups in non-credentialed curriculum such as: Anger management, Life Skills, Matrix, MRT, Criminal and Addictive Thinking, Seeking Safety and wrap. They will also conduct case management sessions as required by the standards. Prepares statistical and operational reports. Operates a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other system software.

Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Social Services, or related field, and/or a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with at-risk population, preferably in court mandated program services, counseling services or a related field, including experience working with the criminal justice population and counseling/case management. Must possess superior communication skills, particularly with at-risk population. Direct experience and knowledge of the accountability court model, substance abuse treatment and community health disciplines are highly desirable. Preferred

Mathematical Aptitude :
Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; the ability to calculate decimals and percentages; the ability to utilize principles of fractions; and the ability to interpret graphs. Functional Reasonin g : Requires the ability to apply principles of rational systems; to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form; and to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives. Situational Reasonin g : Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable.
ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability:
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
