Job Description

SCMHCC is recruiting for one adult attendant care provider for our El Dorado location and one provider for our Augusta and Andover location.
Position Overview:
An Attendant Care / Psychosocial Rehabilitation worker will assist the consumer with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. The intent is to restore the fullest possible integration of the client as an active and productive member of his or her family, community, and/or culture with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention. Will provide exceptional care that results in a meaningful difference. Follow the values of humility, optimism, and strong work ethic.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide face-to-face intervention with the client present individually or in a group setting in order for the client to progress toward treatment goals. Teach client development of social and interpersonal skills to increase community tenure, enhance personal relations, establish support networks, increase community awareness, develop coping strategies, and effective functioning in the consumer's social environment including home, work, and school. Progress notes are accurate and reflect progress towards treatment plan goals and are turned in weekly. Work in collaboration with the treatment team and family. Maintain and submit reports and paperwork as required in a timely and accurate manner. Possess the ability to react in a wide variety of stressful situations. Expected to keep supervisor informed of unusual situations re: client. Engage in training required by SCMHCC. Consistently maintain scheduled appointments with clients.
