Part-Time Transitional Shelter Case Manager - Mason House Veterans Transitional Housing Program Organization Overview The Bridge Club of Greater Lowell (BCGL) is a nonprofit recovery community organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders, homelessness, and barriers to employment. Through recovery coaching, workforce development, housing assistance, veteran services, and reentry support, BCGL empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve long-term stability. Mason House is BCGL's 15-bed transitional housing program serving veterans experiencing homelessness. Residents receive safe housing, case management, recovery support, employment assistance, transportation assistance, and other wraparound services designed to promote self-sufficiency and successful community reintegration. Position Summary The Bridge Club of Greater Lowell is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Part-Time Transitional Shelter Case Manager to provide direct support services to residents of Mason House. The Case Manager will assist veterans in identifying goals, overcoming barriers, accessing community resources, securing employment, maintaining recovery, and obtaining permanent housing. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience working with vulnerable populations, and a commitment to helping veterans achieve housing stability, financial independence, and long-term success. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and assist residents in developing individualized service plans. Provide ongoing case management and supportive counseling to residents. Assist residents with housing search activities, housing applications, and transition planning. Coordinate referrals to community resources, including healthcare, behavioral health services, recovery supports, veteran benefits, legal assistance, and workforce development programs. Support residents in obtaining identification documents, benefits, and other essential services. Assist residents with employment readiness, job search activities, vocational training enrollment, and career development opportunities. Maintain accurate and timely case notes, service records, and program documentation. Monitor resident progress toward established goals and update service plans as needed. Collaborate with BCGL staff, community partners, landlords, employers, and service providers to support resident success. Participate in resident meetings, case conferences, and program activities. Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary. Promote a safe, respectful, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed living environment. Support compliance with program policies and housing expectations. Assist with resident transportation coordination and access to appointments when needed. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education. Experience working with veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals in recovery, or justice-involved populations preferred. Knowledge of community resources, housing programs, workforce development services, and veteran benefits. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems. CPR, First Aid, Recovery Coach, or other human service certifications are a plus. Compensation and Schedule Part-time position.
