Job Description

Spurwink is hiring Crisis Workers for our soon-to-open Lewiston Crisis Center, which offers a warm, welcoming environment for individuals ages 14+ experience urgent behavioral health needs. As an alternative to hospitalization or law enforcement intervention, we provide stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment - open 24/7, 365 days a year, promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.
DUTIES:
Conduct in-person assessments and provide support and engagement. Facilitate referrals to community providers. CSP training provided upon hire. Maintain regular contact, effectively collaborate with, and facilitate referrals to community providers to advocate on behalf of, and improve the care for, participants. Enhance personal development by supporting participants in personal activities and opportunities that enrich their lives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in related field, Bachelor's degree preferred.
MHRT-CSP
certified or
MHRT-CSP
eligible. Will need to obtain a provisional
MHRT-CSP
within one month of hire (training provided); additional training and hours on the job to obtain full certification. Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
