Job Summary The Juvenile Detention Case Management Specialist 1 serves as the primary case manager in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility. The Juvenile Detention Case Management Specialist 1 is responsible for providing case management services to the residents to ensure that the resident has maximum exposure to constitutionally mandated services and other programs. Required Tasks Provide orientation to new residents. Counsel residents and contacts parents, legal guardians, and attorneys. Conducts group sessions with residents. Enter resident data into JAIS computer system. Complete assessments, progress notes, etc., required by child welfare licensing. Perform other related duties as assigned. Educational Requirements Bachelor Degree in Social Work or other related human service area. Experience Requirements At least one (1) year of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health or other setting providing services to youth and families.Special Conditions:
