TPOAM Family Court General Summary:
Under the supervision of the director of juvenile services/probate court administrator, this position is responsible for processing adoption cases for the court, including meeting with potential petitioners, reviewing all adoption and guardianship petitions, investigating petitions, preparing and filing investigation reports for adoptions and guardianships, scheduling and attending related hearings, and maintaining related records.
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or related field.
Experience:
Two years of casework experience in adoptions or the criminal justice system. Prefer experience with children and families in counseling or a related field.
Other Requirements:
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check including by not limited to state/national criminal history check, DHHS central registry check and professional references. Must adhere to the State Court Administrative Office Model Code of Conduct for Trial Court Employees. Will be requires to complete annual training as scheduled by the court and the County of Monroe. Possession of a valid driver's license.
