Domestic Violence Advocate

Hiring:

Domestic Violence Advocate HOPE (Healing Opportunity Provided Equally) Part-Time, Aitkin, $18

• 20Hr 25-30 hours Monday-Thursday flexible scheduling 7am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide general & legal DV advocacy services
• Assist clients in crisis situations
• Safety planning
• Accompany clients to court and provide guidance
• Data entry and coding of all case contacts
• Provide outreach & community education
• Attend meetings and trainings as relevant and beneficial
• Participate in staff meetings
• Completion of 40 hr advocacy training (within 90 days)

Executive Director Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and abide by ethical behavior.
• Must be self-motivated person able to work in a team atmosphere and also with minimal supervision.
• Sensitivity and knowledge of domestic violence.
• Basic computer skills desirable; Word, Excel, Access
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
