Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary The Case Manager provides compassionate support, advocacy, and resource coordination for individuals and families seeking assistance through the church's outreach or social ministry programs. This role reflects the mission and values of the Catholic faith by serving people with dignity, respect, and confidentiality while helping them access community resources, emergency assistance, and long-term support services.

Job Responsibilities Connect clients with community resources such as: housing assistance food programs counseling services healthcare employment support financial assistance Maintain accurate client records and confidential documentation Monitor client progress and provide follow-up support Collaborate with parish staff, volunteers, and outside agencies Assist with emergency assistance programs including rent, utilities, food, or transportation aid Advocate for clients with government agencies and service providers Participate in outreach events and parish social ministry activities Ensure services align with Catholic social teaching and parish mission Prepare reports and track program outcomes when needed Job Requirements Experience in case management, social services, nonprofit ministry, or community outreach Knowledge of local social service systems and public assistance programs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to serving diverse populations Organizational and documentation skills Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and database systems Practicing Catholic preferred at some parishes, but not always required The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
