About us Mitchell County SafePlace is a small nonprofit orginization with a mission to help eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault through education, advocacy, and emergency services.. Job Overview We are seeking an After Hours Advocate to provide critical support and assistance to individuals and families in need during non-traditional hours. This role involves offering immediate intervention and guidance in crisis situations as well as supporting emergancy shelter operations. Duties

• Hold 24hr crisis line and Respond to crisis calls and provide emotional support and resources
• Conduct assessments to determine the level of intervention needed
• Collaborate with law enforcement, child protective services, and other agencies as necessary
• Implement crisis management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
• Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions Qualifications
• Strong skills in conflict management and crisis resolution
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort working with children and families in distress This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable populations while gaining valuable experience in crisis intervention and social work.
