Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK
The Case Manager is responsible for the overall management of assigned child support cases in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and State laws, as well as the policies and procedures of the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA). The position involves case development, case monitoring, enforcement activities, and coordination with internal staff, courts, and external agencies. The Case Manager will maintain accurate case records, assist with court preparation, and support enforcement and collection efforts to ensure effective child support services. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases while demonstrating strong communication skills, professionalism, cultural awareness, and knowledge of or the ability to learn Tribal, Federal, and State child support enforcement laws and procedures.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain assigned child support cases in compliance with Tribal, Federal, and applicable laws, regulations, and CSEA policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and current information within the CSEA automated case management system and case files. Locate absent parents and gather relevant information through interviews, records searches, and available Federal, State, and Tribal resources to support case development. Coordinate case actions including genetic testing, enforcement procedures, and referrals to the Staff Attorney for legal proceedings and court preparation. Communicate with case participants, agencies, and the public regarding case status, respond to inquiries, and assist with court proceedings and community outreach when directed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, Human Services or related field preferred. Will consider High School Diploma/GED with experience in child support, legal, criminal justice, or human services. Valid driver's license.
SHIFT:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
TESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. Tribal, State, and Federal background investigation and MVR screening required.
HIRING PREFERENCES
