HELP New Mexico's Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is designed to assist limited-income individuals on their journeys to achieve their educational and employment goals. This happens through an individualized array of supportive services and emergency assistance, so families will have their needs met while education and/or job training is ongoing. This will be an in office position.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will play a vital role in empowering low-income individuals, families, and seniors by connecting them with essential community resources and supportive services. You will combine direct client advocacy with program coordination responsibilities under initiatives such as the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and intergenerational volunteer programs like Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions. You will provide personalized support to help clients overcome barriers to self-sufficiency, while also recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who offer companionship and mentorship to vulnerable populations. You will foster a supportive environment that strengthens individuals, promotes intergenerational connections, and enhances the overall well-being of the community through education, outreach, and collaborative partnerships.

Client Needs Assessment & Individualized Service Planning Community Resource Navigation & Referral Coordination Trauma-Informed Case Management & Crisis Intervention Community Outreach, Education & Public Engagement Cross-Sector Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Documentation, Compliance & Outcome-Based Reporting Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Strategies Advocacy for Underserved & At-Risk Populations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /
Background:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Human Services, etc.) preferred At least 1 year of experience in social services, case management, or community outreach preferred, but not required Experience working with seniors and low-income individuals or families is a plus Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (if applicable) Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong time management skills to meet established deadlines Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate records Experience using case management software is helpful but not required We recognize that our success is driven by great talent, and that's why we provide a comprehensive and competitive suite of benefits to serve you and your family.
