Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? These positions will support the investigation, permanency and placement units. They can assist in gathering collateral information for investigations and contacting collateral supports. They can enter documentation in the case records and support investigate, placement and permanency staff while in the field when individual visits are of concern. They will support caseworker functions by making referrals for services for children and parents, completing documentation in FACTS for the workers, setting up appointments for caseworkers to visit children, parents and resource parents, completing payments in FACTS for resource parents and providers, supervise community visits, help search for relatives, tracking down records, scheduling and tracking necessary staffing, following up on items that are required after certain staffing, contact references for home studies and help resource parents follow up on outstanding items. How does it get done? Support to caseworkers with activities like contacting collaterals, setting up services and appointments, supervising visits, searching for relatives, tracking down records, tracking meetings, scheduling meetings. 75% Documentation in FACTS for Caseworkers. 25% Minimum Qualification High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience as a social or community coordinator and/or social worker assistant. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting: late hours, weekends, on-call and callback work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel is required. Possible exposure to irate clientele.
