Are you passionate about empowering youth and creating positive change in their lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Case Manager for our Youth Emergency Shelter located in Santa Fe, NM. What would my job responsibilities be? Supervise residents in compliance with program policies, procedures, contracts, and regulations to ensure their health and safety. Maintain safety and security of participants through regular check-ins, including room checks, walking the property regularly, both inside and outside the building Receive regular and frequent training on TIC practices, Nurtured Heart and Positive Youth Development Model; exemplify these models of care throughout work duties, and be available for pre-scheduled daytime training events as needed. Is trained on and aware of emergency procedures with regard to building safety and client emergencies in order to respond promptly to emergencies while following YSFS policies and procedures. Communicate regularly and effectively with the case manager and program manager to provide continuity of care for residents. Communicate policies and regulations to participants through direct communication and consistent compliance with established procedures, including appropriate consequences (with approval and support from supervisor and CM) Complete additional documentation as assigned, ensuring accurate and timely records. Monitor and document client behavior, interactions, and any incidents that occur during the shift. Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, staff, and external stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive environment. Implement and adhere to shelter policies and procedures, including safety protocols and crisis intervention techniques. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for youth. Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to professional boundaries. Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed, utilizing trauma-informed care practices. Report any incidents, concerns, or changes in client behavior to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner. Foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment for all youth, respecting their diverse backgrounds and experiences. Assume other responsibilities• as assigned. What are the qualifications and experience I need to become a Case Manager? Proficient with computer software skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. Excellent oral communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills. Awareness of trauma-informed/responsive treatment practices for youth in crisis. The ability to establish and set appropriate limits with people served to help them gain skills and confidence. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to relate in cross-cultural environments. Valid Driver's License, insurable under YSFS automobile policy. Must be over 21 years of age to meet minimum eligibility requirements of our automobile insurance carrier What are the minimum education requirements? Bachelor Degree in Human Services preferred OR a two-year degree in Human related services and at least one year related experience. OR a high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience. What is the scheduled shift you are looking to fill? • Full-time Sunday through Wednesday 11pm-9am with a $2.00 differential for overnight shift What about the benefits Youth Shelters & Family Services offers?
