Supervising Crime Victim Caseworker
DEPARTMENT

$62,128 WORK
LOCATION & HOURS
112 State Street, Albany, NY 12207 8:30A—4:30P M-F (may travel to local courts at needed)

DESCRIPTION
Oversees and mentors a team of Crime Victim Caseworkers and volunteers dedicated to providing comprehensive court advocacy and support services to crime victims and others affected by crime. Ideal candidates are passionate about supporting victims of crime and helping individuals navigate the criminal justice system with dignity, compassion, and access to critical resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EITHER:
A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a master's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, or closely related field and one (1) year of supervisory experience involving the advocacy for clients in social services, criminal justice, mental health, victim services, or similar type of agency; OR, B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, or closely related field and three (3) years of supervisory experience involving advocacy for clients in social ser- vices, criminal justice, mental health, victim services, or similar type of agency.
PROMOTIONAL
Thirty-six (36) months as a Crime Victims Caseworker
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
