OVERVIEW
The Mobile Crisis Team is responsible to respond to calls requesting support for individuals in a crisis state or situation. Crisis calls may originate from law enforcement, families, school systems, community agencies, or other entities. The Mobile Crisis Case Manager will access and de-escalate a situation, and provide advocacy and resources to an individual, based on needs. Provide mobile crisis services for individuals experiencing an episode of psychiatric crisis, or who are otherwise behaviorally unstable Utilize standardized assessments and de-escalation techniques to assist the individual/s in crisis Collaborate with the appropriate clinician, as needed, to determine if individual needs further evaluation and treatment Assist clients and/or families (follow up supports) with referrals, accessing resources, and community services needed Communicate and interact with law enforcement and local police departments Adhere to OMH guidance relevant to program operations and billing/documentation requirements Maintain accurate records and complete documentation of client services and follow-up services Assist with CIT training, Mental Health First Aid training, as needed
Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma (Associate or Bachelor Degree in relevant field preferred) Two or more years of experience working with vulnerable populations, MH, SUD, or crisis services Qualify for and obtain NYS Peer Specialist Certification within orientation period Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to drive agency vehicles
Status:
Full time, non-exempt
Salary:
Starting at $23 hour with shift differential for hours after 3pm
Schedule:
10am - 8pm
