Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
: Maintain ongoing participation in the daily operation of the program through the provision of various clinical and therapeutic activities.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in implementing the established program policies, mission and procedures, as they relate to client services. Provide treatment services to assigned clients. Intervene with clients regarding special problems as needed. Maintain client caseload and provide individual and group counseling as well as perform scheduled assessments. Assist in facilitating intake/orientation process of new clients. Facilitate educational/lectures and process groups Maintain accurate up to date clinical record keeping. Contributes input for Performance Improvement with regard to quality of care and planning of clinical services. Provide for crisis intervention with patient or family. Assist in the development and implementation of program goals. Conduct outreach to other agencies within the community and to absent clients. Assist in coordinating services with relevant agencies for individual clients and refer clients to other programs as needed. Prepare reports, maintains statistical data, attends meetings and participates on committees as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of all client information as required by law. Competent to work with patients appropriate to the setting of the agency regarding age and special populations. Maintain knowledge of OASAS regulations and new developments in a changing health care environment. Maintain all applicable certificates. Maintain a current knowledge of reimbursement methods such as managed care, Medicaid and commercial insurance. Work as a team player in all areas to enhance the program as a whole. Represent our agency with an ethical, fair and positive attitude. Responsible for all aspects of case management regarding insurance issues. Assist with food services as needed. Responsible for safe escort or transport of patients as needed (medical transportations/bus passes). Responsible for participation in Utilization Review. Responsible for maintaining contact with families and respective agencies/caseworkers etc. Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree or Certificate from OASAS approved training program. One or more years experience in Alcoholism or Substance Abuse Treatment. CASAC/•CASAC-T or QHP.
