Full Job Description Description:
Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking contingent After School Youth Treatment Program Worker to assist at-risk youth with behavioral symptoms, increasing social skills, and increasing independent living skills. The purpose of the After School Youth Program Worker is to assist youth and families in reduction of psychiatric, social, emotional, environmental, and educational problems to increase levels of functioning and work toward a less restrictive treatment environment.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday; 2:30-7:30. Schedule will vary when school ends for the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for transporting clients to/from the program Assist with the facilitation of treatment group Complete documentation on client behavior in the client's electronic chart Provide community-based support and other daily living skills and activities Work as an integral part of the treatment team to develop, revise, implement and monitor Individual Service Plans in cooperation with additional team and family members of client Assist and co-facilitate treatment-focused groups Communicate with team members/supervisors as needed for case consultations Complete incident reporting as needed, following any appropriate agency procedures Perform other duties as assigned. Working hours vary depending on time of year, Monday - Thursday, staff may be required to work on Fridays based on the needs of the program.
Specific/Individual Competencies:
In process of pursuing a degree in social services or a related field Must possess a high level of patience and understanding in working with this population
Requirements:
Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent At minimum, one year of experience working with the youth population; experience with at-risk youth preferred Preference given to those who are working towards a post-secondary degree in social services or a related field. Must not have a criminal record that would exclude you from working in a child-serving environment Those eligible to drive company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage as defined by the agency commercial insurance carrier. Those who drive personal vehicles in the course of business must be able to provide proof of insurance. EOE/M/F/D/V/SO
