  • Full-time An awesome opportunity awaits as the new Reentry Stability Coach for Bucks County Opportunity Council .
The position evaluates and manages referrals from the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole and works with individuals discharging from the Bucks County Correctional Facility to establish housing stability plans. This role coaches clients in employment goals, to maintain housing and requires strong collaboration with the Housing Location team to assist clients in locating permanent, stable housing as expeditiously as possible. The Reentry Stability Coach partners with Family Service Association to coordinate treatment services for clients. This is a full-time position based out of Doylestown, PA.
Job Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole, the correctional facility, and Family Service staff to receive referrals, coordinate assessment, review treatment options and housing resources to develop an individualized housing plan. Provide on-going support for overall health and well-being that includes health care, stable housing, improvements in family life and personal relationships, community connections, education and vocational development and employment. Assist clients in transition from correctional facility to temporary housing to permanent housing within 90 days. Develop assistance plan that includes rental assistance for up to 12 months including time in temporary housing. Make monthly payments to landlord that includes client contribution when applicable. Maintain complete and accurate case records, while ensuring confidentiality. Engage with and recruit landlords willing to give housing opportunities to individuals with criminal background. Represent BCOC at the Reentry Coalition for Bucks County, participate on committees and be an advocate for reentry housing efforts in Bucks County. Meet regularly with your supervisor, Adult Probation and Parole, and Family Service to review client progress as well as to report on client outcomes. Identify housing options, present available treatment and housing resources, assist with applications, and advocate on behalf of the client.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-3 years' experience working with reentry population. Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and use of reliable vehicle. Schedule may include occasional evening hours.
