Our staff is expertly trained in helping our diverse clients handle stress and trauma.
Position Description:
The Case Management Supervisor provides direct supervision, support and oversight to Foster Care and Adoption (FCAP) Case Managers and the Supervised Independent Living (SIL) Case Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring high quality case management services, regulatory compliance, staff development and consistency in service delivery across FCAP and SIL programs. The Case Management Supervisor serves as the primary supervisor for case management staff, providing coaching, guidance, training, performance management and case consultation. This position works closely with the FCAP Director to support program operations, monitor service quality, ensure compliance with applicable standards and contractual requirements and promote positive outcomes for children, young adults and families. This position does not maintain a regular caseload but may provide support during staffing shortages, sudden client growth to maintain case load requirements, special projects or unusual circumstances.
Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision & Leadership Provide direct supervision, coaching, training and performance management for FCAP Case Managers and the SIL Case Manager Conduct regular supervision meetings and caseload consultations Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and training of case management staff Monitor staff productivity, workload distribution and service delivery expectations Foster a collaborative, trauma-informed environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth Case Management Oversight Monitor case management activities to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with program requirements Review documentation, assessments, service plans, case notes and provide guidance on complex cases and service coordination Support staff during crises, critical incidents and challenging client situations Program Operations Collaborate with the FCAP Director to support day-to-day program operations, quality improvement initiatives and implementation of program services Support program compliance, audits, monitoring activities and required reporting Asist with implementation of T3C services and other program initiatives Participate in program development, policy implementation and process improvement efforts Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in social work, psychology, or human services-related field. Preferred Licensed Child Placing Agency Administrator (LCPAA) or ability to meet requirements and obtain licensure within one year of employment. Three years of documented full-time work experience in a child placing agency, in a residential child-care operation, or as a conservatorship caseworker or foster adoptive home development worker for the department. The experience must include conducting assessments, service planning and case management duties. The experience may include a maximum of 350 hours of formal, supervised field placement or practicum in child placement activities. Minimum of three years in a case management role in a related field Utilize, practice, and maintain evidence-informed Trust Based Relational Intervention that incorporate trauma-informed care specifically for children that have been victims of abuse and/or neglect Working knowledge of Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agency (or similar standards for other states) and Supervised Independent Living contract requirements Previous work with child/youth in child welfare (CPS, OCOK, Empower or other states' equivalent agencies) Must complete background checks required by Texas Department of Family & Protective Services Central Registry, Department of Public Safety, FBI fingerprinting, and drug testing A valid
Texas Driver's License Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
This role is classified as a Scheduled Remote Work Role and is eligible for up to one scheduled remote workday per week after 90 days of employment. Lift and carry up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 20 pounds, infrequently up to 50 pounds Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 75% of the day, sitting 25% of the day Ability to bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary Able to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulations Ability to respond in high stress/emergent situations.
