The Workers' Compensation Case Manager role at LNN is a critical addition to our growing team, designed to streamline case management and ensure client communications remain at the forefront of our service. This role is essential in unlocking firm growth by handling high-volume caseloads, directly supporting our mission to deliver justice efficiently. As the case manager, you will have a direct impact on our clients' experiences, helping them navigate the legal system with confidence and clarity.
TRAINEE TRACK OPPORTUNITY
While we welcome experienced Case Managers, we are also actively opening this door to sharp, moldable Legal Assistants who are hungry to learn and want to undergo a fast-tracked, paid training program to step up into full Case Management. What you'll do:
Case Lifecycle Management:
Manage workers' compensation cases from intake through final resolution, ensuring all milestones, deadlines, and procedural requirements are met.
High-Volume Case Handling:
Oversee a large caseload (200+ cases), maintaining organization, responsiveness, and consistent progress across all matters.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, coordinating next steps, and ensuring a clear and supportive client experience.
Attorney & Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to keep cases moving forward.
Document Preparation & Filing:
Prepare, file, and manage workers' compensation documents in compliance with
WCAB/EAMS
procedures and legal requirements.
Medical Coordination:
Schedule and manage medical appointments, including
PQME/QME/AME
evaluations, and ensure all medical records and reports are properly organized.
Task & System Management:
Track case milestones, update case management systems, and ensure all actions and communications are documented accurately.
Document & Mail Processing:
Review, organize, and process incoming documents and correspondence efficiently and accurately. What we're looking for:
Workers' Compensation Experience:
At least 1+ years of experience in workers' compensation case management or a related role (plaintiff-side preferred).
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with
WCAB/EAMS
procedures, PQME/QME scheduling, DOR filings, and medical record organization.
High-Volume Capacity:
Comfortable managing a large caseload in a fast-paced environment with repetitive yet critical tasks.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and empathetically to clients.
Organizational Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with case management systems (Litify or similar) and Microsoft Office.
Language Requirement:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
