Personal Injury Case Manager Smith & Weidinger, PLLC -301 Remington St, Fort Collins, CO 80524 Position Overview Smith & Weidinger, PLLC is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team. This role is critical in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution while supporting attorneys and maximizing client outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of personal injury law and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while supporting attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management. Candidates should have proven paralegal experience in personal injury law and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Compensation $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications Expected Hours Full-time position Key Responsibilities Case Management & Legal Support Manage personal injury cases from start to finish Support attorneys in core legal tasks, including: Discovery and insurance document review Medical record review and in-depth analysis of medical records and bills Requesting and organizing medical records and billing Drafting and sending correspondence Drafting and filing pleadings Exhibit preparation Balance verification Trial preparation and assistance Conduct monthly case reviews to ensure consistent case progression Review and evaluate demand packages prior to submission Client Communication & Relationship Management Meet regularly with clients and attorneys (in-person, virtual, and telephonic) to: Provide updates on treatment and case status Track recovery and ongoing care Foster and maintain excellent rapport with clients through consistent communication Verify that all client injuries, damages, and losses are properly documented and presented to maximize recovery Subrogation, Insurance & Provider Coordination Scrutinize and negotiate subrogation and lien claims to maximize client net recovery Correspond regularly with medical providers and insurance adjusters Verify balances and resolve discrepancies related to medical billing Qualifications Proven paralegal experience in personal injury law - Required 3+ Years of Personal Injury Experience (preferably in a high-volume environment) required. Experience in pre-litigation and/or litigation settings Ability to manage cases independently from intake through resolution Strong understanding of medical records, billing, and damages analysis Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Additional Preferred Skills & Attributes Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume caseload efficiently Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Experience drafting demands, pleadings, and legal correspondence Ability to identify case value drivers and maximize settlement potential Proficiency in case management software (Clio preferred) Experience working with Colorado personal injury procedures and rules Experience working with Wyoming personal injury procedures and rules is a plus Strong deadline management and sense of urgency Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Professional demeanor when dealing with clients, adjusters, and providers Commitment to client-centered advocacy and high-quality legal work What We Offer Competitive salary ($60,000-$75,000 per year) Health insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid sick time Full-time, stable position Collaborative and fast-paced team environment Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work advocating for injured clients
