Job Description

Position Summary The Senior Vocational Case Manager conducts extensive comm u nity outre ach, including workshops and presentations to
HIV/AIDS
community partners, to support participant engagemen t in the N assau Employment Initiative (NEI). The role is responsible for enrollment, assessment, case management, job readiness, placement, and retention services that support successful employment outcomes. The Senior Vocational Case Manager also supervi ses the Employment Specialist. Essential Functions Conduct individualized vocational assessment, counseling and case management to evaluate NEI clients for job readiness. Assist clients in resolving barriers to employment and facilitate referrals, when ready, for job placement. Monitor clients' progress and provide ongoing support and assistance during post placement. Supervise and provide training and guidance for the Employment Specialist. Collaborate with NADAP staff to coordinate and facilitate employment readiness, placement and retention activities. Maintain continuous communication with programs/employers to monitor client progress. Meet and exceed performance goals established by contract and NEI management for program enrollment, placement, and retention. Enter and update client assessments, case management notes, job placement and vocational case management logs into database. Maintain accurate files including required documentation needed by contract, such as employment verifications, health and financial documents. Prepare and submit quarterly and weekly internal and external progress reports. Other duties as assigned by NADAP management.
Position Requirements Education:
Associate's degree required, bachelor's preferred .
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals living with HIV/AIDS and knowledge of workforce development, job readiness, assessment, and placement services preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong case management, communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work ind epende ntly and collaboratively with clients, employers, and community partners. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car for work purposes . This role has a hybrid schedule of field work and office work, with flexibility for one remote day after a successful training period.
Salary:
$60,500
Program Overview:
The Nassau Employment Initiative (NEI), funded by the NY State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, is designed to provide outreach, case management, job preparation and job placement along with wrap-around services to individuals with
HIV/AIDS
in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The program also provides post-placement supports and off site referrals to meet the needs of our participants. NADAP, Inc. is a multiservice non-profit agency dedicated to helping people with medical, behavioral health and social service needs to become sufficient. NADAP programs assist disadvantaged populations in New York City and Nassau County. NADAP's services include health insurance enrollment, assessment, care coordination, case management, professional training, job preparation and placement services.
