Victim Advocate

Victim Advocate Duties:

• Provide crisis intervention and support services to victims of crime
• Conduct needs assessments and develop individualized safety plans for clients
• Assist clients in accessing resources and services such as counseling, legal assistance, and housing
• Accompany clients to court hearings, medical appointments, and other necessary appointments
• Advocate on behalf of clients with law enforcement, legal system, and other service providers
• Provide emotional support and guidance to clients throughout the legal process
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
• Experience working with victims of crime or trauma is highly desirable
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
• Ability to provide childcare services as needed for clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of behavioral health issues and ability to provide appropriate referrals This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to supporting victims of crime.
