Job Scope The Patient-Matched Case Manager - CMF is responsible for supporting the end-to-end workflow of Acumed's patient-matched oral and maxillofacial, neurosurgical, and chest wall reconstruction cases within the Acumed Digital Surgery group. This role helps guide the entire lifecycle of patient-specific surgical cases—from data reception and digital planning through case coordination and product delivery ensuring accurate execution and compliance with Acumed's Quality Management System. The Case Manager works closely with surgeons, sales representatives and internal teams to facilitate smooth case progression and high quality planning outcomes for each patient specific request. Responsibilities Manage and track case progression through all phases of the patient-matched CMF workflow, from order initiation to product delivery, ensuring timely execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for surgeons, sales representatives, and internal teams throughout case processing. Coordinate with third-party suppliers, planners, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely case completion. Review DICOM imaging datasets (CT/CBCT) and identify relevant anatomical structures. Perform or review segmentation, surgical planning, and implant design using Materialise Mimics, 3-Matic, and Dolphin. Conduct CMF surgical planning sessions with surgeon customers. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of planning and design outputs. Document and archive all case data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and Acumed's QMS. Provide technical support and guidance for Acumed's patient-matched customer portal via phone, email, and web meetings. Train and mentor new team members on workflow and digital planning processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in patient-specific device workflows, surgical planning, or 3D modeling (preferably CMF or cranial applications). Experience managing patient-matched cases in a regulated medical device environment. Proficiency in Materialise Mimics, 3-Matic, Dolphin, or equivalent 3D software. Experience reviewing and processing CT/CBCT imaging data. Familiarity with
ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR
820, and related quality documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple cases under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable to changing priorities. Flexible scheduling to support surgeon planning sessions. Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
