As part of the prescreening process, please let us know which position you are interested in being considered for. Essential Job Functions Conduct comprehensive written intakes, assessments, safety plans, and service plans with sexual assault survivors. Advocate for clients within various community systems, including medical, social service, and criminal justice systems. Provide ongoing support and follow-up with clients as they work toward identified goals. Escort and/or transport clients to meetings with law enforcement, criminal justice agencies, and court hearings, as required. Provide hospital accompaniment to support sexual assault survivors during sexual assault medical forensic examinations. On-call duty includes a minimum of four (4) six-hour shifts per month, of which at least two (2) must be evenings or weekends, and includes at least one (1) holiday per year. Provide information, referrals, and assistance related to Crime Victims' Compensation, Texas SAVNS, protective orders, crisis intervention, advocacy, and peer support during hospital accompaniment. Serve on a rotating on-call schedule as a Secondary Advocate for hospital accompaniment, including being on call one (1) week every seven (7) weeks to respond to questions, concerns, or multiple hospital accompaniments. Develop and facilitate group sessions for clients utilizing best-practice models for intervention and prevention of sexual assault. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, case staffing meetings, and other meetings required to maintain and improve Family Resource Center (FRC) operations and client services. Ensure that comprehensive written assessments, service plans, and safety plans are maintained in each client file. Maintain familiarity with legal services, resources, and procedures available to sexual assault victims in each county served. Become familiar with and adhere to the Center's policies and procedures and applicable Texas laws pertaining to family violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Plan and implement client activities as part of the empowerment process. Maintain accurate and complete client files, ensuring all documentation is organized chronologically. Documentation includes, but is not limited to, case notes, follow-up notes, service plans, assessments, reports from other agencies, incident reports, correspondence, and progress summaries. Supervise assigned volunteers and/or interns. Work closely with the Community Engagement Coordinator to ensure appropriate task assignment, orientation, and evaluation. Compile monthly statistics as requested by the Associate Director of Sexual Assault Services, Associate Director of Client Advocacy, and/or Development Director. Provide periodic trainings, workshops, or seminars to new staff, volunteers, community groups, and partner agencies. 18. Other Duties Assist and/or serve as the contact person for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, which may include completing legal intakes, attending meetings, and participating in trainings. Answer Hopeline calls and make and document referrals to community resources. Increase the Center's visibility in the community by attending assigned meetings and representing the agency. Deliver community presentations on an on-call basis. Perform other duties as assigned, as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a social services-related field is preferred but not required. A combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position may be considered.
