More information about our program can be found at https://balancehouse.com/. Balance House Proper, our sober living, is hiring a Case Manager for a full-time position. Shifts Monday-Friday 10am-6p. Pay is starting at $50,000
- 60,000 depending on experience.
Job duties include:
- keeping the clients safe both physically and emotionally
- establishing and maintaining relationships with the clients while holding them accountable
- modeling, healthy, cooperative, and boundaried behavior both professionally and personally
- providing individualized care and interventions to clients based on each situation
- actively collaborating and communicating with clinical, medical, resident coo, administrative staff, and ownership
- participating in/cofacilitating activities with clients (including: hiking, softball, yoga, skiing, camping, recovery meetings, groups, sober events, service projects, etc.)
- if applicant is in recovery, a minimum of 18 months of continuous sobriety is mandatory Prospective applicants should have:

Position Summary:
The Lower Phase Case Manager provides individualized client support, blending direct care, case management, and program facilitation. They are responsible for overseeing client progress, maintaining regular communication with client stakeholders, and ensuring comprehensive case management services in line with treatment goals. Key Responsibilities Client Support and Case Management Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with assigned clients to: Review goal sheets, constitutions, and progress toward goals. Outline goals for the upcoming week and create action plans. Review financial matters, including True Link balances, bank accounts, and savings plans. Discuss relationships, including family communication, dating, and friendships. Evaluate recovery efforts, meeting attendance, sponsor engagement, and personal growth activities. Identify enjoyable activities clients engage in and assist in incorporating positive experiences. Document weekly notes in Alleva summarizing these areas. Communication Conduct weekly phone calls with clients' families and referents to provide updates and address concerns. Coordinate with clients' therapists for relevant clinical updates and program adjustments. Daily Operational Tasks Conduct hourly walkthroughs of all houses on the property, noting client activities and property conditions. Report property issues (plumbing, HVAC, supplies, etc.) to program directors. Maintain property cleanliness by addressing overlooked areas or deeper cleaning needs. Complete and distribute detailed shift reports before shift end. Provide a verbal shift rundown to incoming staff on client activities and essential updates. Oversee and document medication administration, refusals, and drug tests in Alleva. Morning Shift-Specific Duties Wake clients at designated times: 9 AM Mon-Fri, 10 AM Sat, 11 AM Sun. Check that chores, room cleanliness, and bed-making are completed by 10 AM. Address incomplete tasks if necessary. Communicate curfew details to swing shift staff. Swing Shift-Specific Duties Ensure clients aware of 11 PM curfew comply and are accounted for. Notify overnight staff about client curfews, absences, and drug test requirements. Provide a detailed client status rundown to overnight staff. Team Collaboration and Communication Maintain open and solution-focused communication within and across departments. Actively participate in team meetings, staff training, and collaborative efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in case management or behavioral health services. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compassionate client care. Proficiency in documentation and confidential record management. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting throughout the shift. Capability to perform property walkthroughs, including navigating stairs and uneven terrain. Manual dexterity for writing, computer use, and administrative tasks. Visual and auditory acuity to assess client well-being and environmental conditions.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a residential treatment setting and requires flexibility, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as participation in on-call rotations.
