Job Description
Neutral Ground Dispute Resolution Center is a non-profit organization that offers professional mediation services for a myriad of circumstances; parenting plans, division of property during a divorce, small claims, neighbor disputes and landlord/tenant issues. We also offer parent/teen mediation, elder care and guardianship mediation. Neutral Ground is looking for a confident, well-spoken individual who is willing to interact and engage with people in our community. We are looking for someone who is interested in building a program from the ground up with a team and executing it effectively. This will require networking and collaboration as well as community outreach.
Case Support:
(Primary) The Case Manager will work cases from introduction to closing. This will include the intake process, correspondence via phone, text, and email, scheduling, data entry and reporting. Program Development:
(Secondary) The Program Manager will work with the Executive Director, board and volunteers, as well as with other entities for the expansion and enhancement of mediation programs, including prospectively; Restorative Practices in elder care and workplace mediations. Position Description:
Answer telephone, perform intake from clients, record necessary information, make mediation appointments, process paperwork, translate documents and mediations when needed, mediate (after certification), report to Executive Director, research, community outreach, public speaking, networking with other social service agencies, program development, and report to Executive Director. Desired Experience:
Spanish speaking (pay rate increased by $1.50 per hour) Required Knowledge :
Ability to translate English conversations and written material, communicate and listen effectively, be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point. Be willing to adjust to changing workloads and have excellent organizational skills. Basic knowledge of QuickBooks or accounting programs is beneficial. Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, project management, social services, business development, or similar field. In some cases, the degree may be substituted for adequate experience working in a similar position. Other Requirements:
Must complete our Basic Mediation Training course and complete internship requirements to become a certified mediator. Exhibit excellent grammar and communication skills. Attention to detail is imperative. Salary:
This position is flexible at 24 hours/week minimum and 32 hours/week maximum, as determined at time of hire. The salary range is dependent on hours and experience. Base rate will be $29.50 per hour.
