Full Job Description Job Purpose:
This is a professional position that is responsible for the intervention and stabilization of psychological and social needs presented by adults in psychiatric crisis. This position is a part of a community based, recovery oriented, team of people who provide prevention and intervention services to voluntary adults in psychiatric crisis at the CRC.
Essential Job Functions:

Working with the CRC team to identify medical, psychological, and social needs of adults in psychiatric crisis. As well as engaging the consumer in the process of determining desired linkages to resources in the community that will assist them in stabilizing their crisis and improving the quality of their life. Providing accurate documentation and maintaining consumer files as required by agency policy, government regulations and applicable local, state and federal codes. Assisting in various leadership roles within a team, ensuring all of the activities in the CRC are recovery oriented; assist with training of new staff and occasional facilitation of team meetings. As well as providing community education regarding crisis management and the mental health service industry. Providing community education regarding crisis management and the mental health service industry. Provide supervision and support to CRC clinical interns Support completion of and sign off on clinical documentation as directed by Senior Program Manager/Associate Director Support management team and clients in crisis situations, communicating effectively and versed in de-escalation techniques Complete referrals from community partners and potential clients for CRC services, support staffing of referrals with CRC staff and management. Complete referrals to community partners as needed to meet client needs. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials:

Minimum Required Education:
Master's Degree is required in the field of Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services Field and full licensure in related field,
LCSW or LPC Minimum Required Experience:
Completion of 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, and completion of necessary items related to licensure in the state of Wisconsin Required License - Certification -

None Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Travel is not required for this position. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both orally and in writing is required Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Spanish, both orally and in writing is desired. Experience with adults undergoing a psychiatric crisis. Knowledge of community resources available to consumers in the Milwaukee County area. On Occasion must be able to push/pull/lift/move objects weighting at least 50 pounds. Must also be able to climb at least two flights of stairs. This position requires participation in reoccurring 'on-call' duties and flexibility in daily work schedule to adequately meet program needs, which may include evenings or weekends.
Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements :
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity :
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
Working Conditions :
This position may work in a variety of indoor and outdoor work environments including the Crisis Resource Center, office settings and may include outdoor areas. Work areas may include various outdoor weather conditions, loud noises, and fluctuating temperatures and require the use of stairs. Employee is expected to contribute to a 24 hour/7 day per week crisis response staffing capability.
