  • Full-time Financial Wellness Advocate 1600 Briggs Street, Stevens Point, WI 54481 Full-Time Catholic Charities is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and solutions-focused Financial Wellness Advocate to join our team.
In this role, you will support individuals and families facing financial hardship by providing guidance, advocacy, education, and resources that promote long-term financial stability and help prevent homelessness. This position works closely with community partners and participants to assess needs, create action plans, provide financial assistance referrals, and empower individuals toward greater independence and security. Key Responsibilities Conduct screenings, assessments, and financial wellness evaluations Develop individualized action plans with participants Provide education, financial assistance coordination, referrals, and follow-up support Assist individuals experiencing financial crises with immediate and long-term solutions Collaborate with community organizations and service providers Maintain accurate documentation and case management records Advocate for participant stability, self-sufficiency, and housing security Deliver presentations and educational outreach as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Business Management, or related field preferred Associate's Degree in Business, Management, Social Work, or equivalent experience considered Experience working with individuals in financial crisis and/or long-term case management preferred HUD Housing Counseling Certification required within nine months of employment Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Strong written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills Understanding of social service case management practices Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Charities What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, and committed to empowering others.
