This position offers:
$30,000/Year Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Casual work attire Full-Time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM hours. 1 social evening per week and 1 Saturday per month with rotating staff coverage. Flex time enabled for these hours Program is open on major holidays with rotating staff coverage. Must be able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends based on the needs of the individuals and program. About the program:
The Iris Clubhouse is organized to support people living with mental illness. During the course of their participation in a Clubhouse, members gain access to opportunities to rejoin the worlds of friendships, family, employment and education, and to the services and support they may individually need to continue their recovery. A Clubhouse provides a restorative environment for people whose lives have been disrupted because of their mental illness, and who need the support of others who are in recovery and who believe that mental illness is treatable. As a Clubhouse Rehabilitation Associate, you work closely with the members and other staff to assist in the operation of all functions of a Clubhouse International standard-based clubhouse. As a Clubhouse Rehabilitation Associate you will: Participate in all aspects of the Clubhouse providing leadership and direction by working side by side with members Assist in organizing and engaging members in the work ordered day and social and recreational activities Document and file critical incidents that occur with the members and report those to the Director Maintain records with documentation of services provided Responsible for preparing timely reports and completing case notes and service plans using an electronic database Collaborate with treatment, housing, education, vocational providers, and all other appropriate community agencies Active participation in operating and maintaining program/and or physical maintenance of the Clubhouse. Develop and expand programming that engages and benefits the clubhouse members Assist in and oversee the development of transitional employment opportunities for members of the Clubhouse Facilitate workshops and meetings, encouraging member input for shared decision-making and program improvements Attend training and supervision meetings and adheres to strict confidentiality guidelines with members and other staff Mediate disagreements among members using a conflict management model Assist with training of new staff members and volunteers
Qualifications:
Preference for Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with academic concentration in psychology, sociology, social work, HDFS, OT/OTA, special education, rehabilitation or other area relevant to the position; OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and one year work experience in mental health direct service; OR Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certificate and one additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service. Requirements:
Able to work flexible hours as needed. A valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to pass a background check. A background check will be completed prior to the start of employment.
