Prevention Specialist Positions Available:
3 (1 Full-Time, 2 Part-Time)Location:
Jefferson County, St. Clair County, and Blount County (per grant requirements)Reports To:
Prevention Coordinator J ob Description The Prevention Specialist is responsible for delivering substance abuse prevention and education services in the community. This position focuses on implementing evidence-based programs, increasing awareness, and supporting individuals and families in reducing substance use risk factors in accordance with grant requirements. Key Responsibilities Deliver prevention education programs to youth, adults, and families Conduct presentations in schools, community centers, and partner agencies Provide community outreach and participate in health fairs and events Build partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders Implement grant-funded services across Jefferson, St. Clair, and Blount Counties Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, and reports Assist with prevention materials, program planning, and evaluations Provide referrals to treatment and support services as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Public Health, Psychology, or related field required Experience in prevention, education, or community outreach preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required work in Jefferson County, Blount or St. Clair County is a plus Work Schedule & Compensation Full-Time and Part-Time positions available Some evenings and weekends required Salary/Hourly rate based on experience and grant funding guidelines Closing Statement Join ADATC in making a difference by promoting prevention, education, and healthier communities.Pay:
