The office collaborates with local communities, public agencies, and private providers to close the digital divide and expand high-speed connectivity. Its work supports economic development, education, healthcare access, and quality of life across urban, suburban, and rural areas. Team members contribute to impactful public service projects that help residents connect to essential online resources and opportunities. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AmeriCorps fellow role based in the Little Rock Metropolitan Area. The fellow will support community outreach initiatives, including meeting with local stakeholders, assisting with public events, and helping residents understand available broadband programs and resources. Day-to-day responsibilities may include collecting and organizing data on community broadband needs, preparing summaries and simple reports, and updating internal tracking tools. The fellow will help create basic informational materials, such as flyers, presentations, or website content, to promote broadband awareness and digital opportunity. The role also includes collaborating with office staff on special projects, attending training and planning sessions, and contributing to continuous improvement of outreach and engagement efforts. Qualifications Interest in public service, community engagement, and expanding broadband access and digital opportunity. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain information clearly to diverse audiences. Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort learning new digital tools. Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact respectfully with community members, partners, and colleagues. Willingness to travel locally within the Little Rock Metropolitan Area for meetings, events, and outreach activities as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a degree in public policy, communications, social sciences, or a related field is beneficial.

$33,000.00 per year
