This position communicates and interacts directly with community partners and the public through workshops, presentations, outreach events, and informational campaigns. The Community Educator collaborates with all staff to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and responsive, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with community organizations and service providers. By tailoring education efforts to identified community needs, the Community Educator plays a key role in expanding access to justice and advancing GBLA's mission and vision. Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver community education presentations, workshops, and training on legal rights, resources,and services available through the organization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, service providers, schools, and advocacy groups toexpand outreach efforts.
• Identify community needs and tailor educational content to address emerging issues and priority legal topics affecting low-income individuals and families.
• Create, update, and distribute educational materials, including flyers, brochures, social media content, and multilingualresources, in alignment with organizational standards.
• Assist with planning and executing outreach campaigns, community events, and legal clinics to increase awareness andaccessibility of services.
• Track outreach activities, prepare reports, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure legal accuracy and cultural relevance of all presentations and materials.
• Represent the organization at community meetings, coalitions, and public events.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, events, and partnerships for reporting purposes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization's mission and outreach goals.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated. Minimum Qualifications
• At least 2 years of employment experience in a nonprofit, legal services, or similar organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work successfully with GBLA staff, clients, and community partners.
• Exceptional ethics and commitment to GBLA's mission and vision.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to travel throughout Kern County. Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual, or multilingual, in languages commonly spoken throughout Kern County.
• Familiarity with social justice issues affecting Kern County's low-income communities.
• Experience in community outreach, education, or collaboration with partner organizations.
• Familiarity with Legal Services Corporation regulations.
