Role:
The Allyship Coordinator is a practical, relationship-centered role designed to strengthen Jewish and non-Jewish relationships within PJCC, expand participation in allyship learning and action, and help position PJCC as a visible allyship hub on the Peninsula and across the Bay Area. The role supports the PJCC Allyship Cohort, creates accessible entry points for non-Jewish PJCC constituents, cultivates regional partnerships, and helps translate PJCC's allyship model into materials and practices that other JCCs and community organizations can adapt.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Support the PJCC Allyship Cohort Manage cohort recruitment logistics, participant communications, waitlist or bench engagement, and regular operational follow-up. Coordinate speaker logistics, Chevruta-related coordination, gathering details, and social scaffolding such as food, informal connection, and post-session follow-up. Track participant engagement, retention, WhatsApp themes, emerging issues, participation signals, and cohort project outcomes. Maintain regular in-person presence at PJCC to build relationships with cohort participants and identify what is working, what needs adjustment, and what may block deeper engagement. Coordinate with marketing or community channels to appropriately amplify special moments and help funnel cohort alumni into other PJCC opportunities. Engage Non-Jewish PJCC Constituents in Allyship Activity Plan and help run regular allyship learning or action opportunities, with a target of one event or activation per quarter. Register participant names, track attendance and return participation, and use participant feedback to improve future programming. Use survey results, listening circles, and informal feedback to understand what participants value, what they are curious about, and what would make programming more useful. Optimize campus and digital spaces to share allyship opportunities and resources, including podcasts, articles, learning outcomes, and related materials. Help Make PJCC an Allyship Hub in the Bay Area Support planning for a high-impact Bay Area allyship event, such as a fall 2026 keystone gathering or summit. Cultivate partner relationships early and regularly so regional programming feels co-owned by participating organizations and communities. Track participant names, affiliation or denomination where appropriate, geography, and other indicators of audience diversity. Support post-event feedback collection to assess intended impact, such as relationship-building, education, action commitments, or partnership development. Help prepare and share clear, usable written materials that make replication possible for interested partner organizations. Support outreach connected to potential funding, convenings, and regional allyship partnerships.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong relationship-building skills and comfort engaging both Jewish and non-Jewish constituents with care, curiosity, and discretion. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage logistics, participant communications, registration, follow-up, and tracking systems. Comfort gathering feedback, identifying participation trends, and helping translate input into practical program improvements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with staff, participants, speakers, partners, and community channels. Ability to work independently within a small number of weekly hours and prioritize highest-impact activities. Familiarity with Jewish communal life, allyship work, interfaith or cross-community relationship-building, community organizing, adult learning, or nonprofit programming preferred. Comfort with standard office and collaboration tools; experience with participant tracking, event registration, surveys, or community communication platforms preferred.
