About SpEducational SpEducational is California's only nonprofit exclusively focused on parent-led organizing at the intersection of disability and PreK-12 education. We are a small but mighty organization that organizes low-income BIPOC families of students with disabilities to build collective power, advocate for their children's rights, and drive systemic change in special education. Founded by bilingual community organizer and IEP advocate Lisa Mosko Barros, SpEducational has mobilized 500+ families across LA County and helped to secure landmark legislative wins including SB 445.
