$20.00/hour + mileage reimbursement + commission opportunitiesSchedule:
Regular 40 hours per week; evenings, weekends, overtime, and travel required as needed Position Summary The Community Outreach Specialist is a member of the organization's Marketing Team and is responsible for increasing community awareness of the organization's wraparound services within the adoptive, foster, and adjacent care communities. This role focuses on relationship-based outreach, community networking, and referral development to help connect qualified adoptive families with supportive wraparound services. The Community Outreach Specialist will serve as a public-facing representative of the organization by building relationships with community partners, attending outreach events, and promoting the mission and services of the program throughout assigned regions. The ideal candidate is outgoing, self-motivated, organized, and experienced in marketing, outreach, sales, or community engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Community Outreach & Referral Development Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and individuals connected to the adoptive, foster care, behavioral health, and social services communities Conduct outreach to group homes, nonprofit agencies, schools, advocacy organizations, therapists, social workers, county representatives, community groups, and other referral sources Educate community partners and families regarding the organization's wraparound services, eligibility requirements, and referral process Identify and engage adoptive families who may qualify for wraparound services Support outreach and referral growth initiatives in alignment with organizational marketing goals Marketing & Community Engagement Represent the organization at community fairs, conferences, trainings, networking events, and outreach opportunities Assist with distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and informational resources Promote positive community awareness of the organization's programs and mission Collaborate with the Marketing Team on outreach campaigns, strategic growth efforts, and community engagement initiatives Identify new outreach opportunities and partnerships that support program expansion Relationship Management & Communication Build authentic and professional relationships with referral partners and prospective families Maintain ongoing communication and follow-up with community contacts and referral sources Collaborate with intake and program teams to support smooth referral and onboarding processes Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and strong communication in all external interactions Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate outreach logs, referral tracking, mileage records, and activity reports Provide regular updates to leadership regarding outreach activities, partnerships, and referral outcomes Assist with organizing outreach schedules, event planning, and community engagement activities Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Experience in marketing, sales, recruiting, outreach, business development, or community engagement strongly preferred Experience working within or alongside foster care, adoption, nonprofit, behavioral health, or social service systems preferred Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills Ability to engage professionally with diverse individuals and community organizations Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team Comfortable with public speaking and representing the organization in community settings Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic computer systems Travel & Schedule Requirements Must be willing and able to travel long distances regularly for outreach activities Occasional overnight travel required Regular evening and weekend work required based on outreach events and community needs Must maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $20.00 per hour Mileage reimbursement provided for approved work-related travel Eligibility for overtime compensation when scheduled and approved in advance Commission incentive of $1,500 for each child identified, determined eligible, and successfully onboarded into the program in accordance with company guidelines Additional benefits and employment perks may apply based on company policy Work Environment This position operates primarily in community-based settings and requires extensive travel throughout assigned regions. Work may occur in offices, conferences, schools, partner agencies, community events, and public outreach settings.
