SALARY:
$19.23/ hourly ($40,000 annual salary)
SUMMARY :
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Community Outreach, External Programs and Event support to the Constituent Services Department. This position reports to the Constituent Services Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Cultivate relationships with businesses, individuals, community groups and other relevant organizations.
- Coordinate activities designed to create or maintain a favorable public image or raise awareness of services, programs and opportunities for Constituents.
Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, community programs, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities. Assist in the organization and execution of educational workshops on various topics that will assist Constituents in establishing and/or maintaining self-sufficiency (i.e. financial literacy, accessing community resources, connections to education). Assist in the preparation of an annual budget for community outreach activities. Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners. Recruit and screen volunteers Assist in the organization and execution of special events and programs. Interfac e with constituents through email, phone and in-person Maintain public engagement with constituents to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met Maintain confidential documents, reports, correspondence and calls Type and format a variety of documents such as briefs, summaries, fact sheets and other data required for event and program planning Operate a personal computer to produce reports, correspondence, and other documents from rough draft, written, copy or verbal instructions
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED, supplemented by college-level or vocational course work in a related field
- Must have two years professional office experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Must be computer literate, with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18 years of age Ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle
- Must meet all eligibility requirements established by the Board of Commissioners
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License (Class C) and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)
