Job Description
The Family Engagement & Outreach Coordinator keeps Bright House running day-to-day and serves as Brightsides connector to the communitythe person who ensures visits run smoothly and that the people who can help our mission know how to get involved. This role pairs hands-on Bright House operations with proactive outreach and recruitment across our programs: CASA volunteers, Bright House Family Law services, and, as the program grows, Brighter Futures mentors. The ideal candidate is organized and dependable, comfortable juggling a busy calendar and a ringing phone, and genuinely energized by talking with people and bringing new volunteers and partners through the door.
QualificationsProven experience in an administrative, coordination, outreach, or volunteer-facing role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management or CRM systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a comfort level engaging the public.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a nonprofit or social services environment is a plus.
Valid drivers license required.

Bright House OperationsManage the Bright House visitation calendar and schedule, and prepare documents for Bright House intakes.
Answer the Bright House cell phone and respond to voicemails, text messages, and emails.
Schedule and coordinate visits, meetings, and appointments.
Be on call on weekends as needed (approximately once a month).Outreach & RecruitmentLead recruitment of new CASA volunteersfollow up on inquiries from events, the website, and referrals, and move interested candidates toward application and interview.
Represent Brightside in the community through tabling, presentations, and partner outreach to build a steady pipeline of volunteers and supporters.
Promote Bright House Family Law services to attorneys, the courts, and families, and field incoming inquiries about these services.
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, faith groups, employers, and schools that can refer volunteers and partners.
As the program develops, recruit and help onboard Brighter Futures mentors.
Track outreach activity and recruitment outcomes and report results to program leadership.
Assist in coordinating special events and recruitment campaigns across programs.

Occasionally includes reaching above shoulder height or below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds for office equipment, supplies, and materials.
Salary & BenefitsThis full-time position includes a wellness stipend, IRA match, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, and generous paid time off.
Annual full-time salary range:
$40,000 to $44,000, contingent upon experience and education.
